What words/phrases in a blurb make a book irresistible? What words/phrases will make you put the book back down immediately?

Book Title: When She Flew, written by Jennie Shortridge (page 202)... from the voice of Lindy (a 12 year old girl)

I had met so many nice people during all this bad stuff that I was starting to wonder if maybe I had followed that heron for a reason. Maybe he was an enchanted creature after all, and he’d been leading me somewhere I might not have gone otherwise, out into the world that I’d always thought I wasn’t a part of. Maybe I was more normal than I’d thought.

It’s a MUST READ. I fell in love with Lindy.

I have been trying to read this book slowly, to enjoy each page. I have to keep reminding myself that authors do not have new releases for us weekly, monthly or yearly (for most).
