Weekly Review: March 5
>> March 05, 2010
It feels like spring in Omaha!
This means you can find me running at the lake most evenings and every weekend - with intersecting three and four mile loops to choose from I can easily create any distance necessary. When I'm not running I will be eating and sleeping! I have several books on audio reserved at the library so I will be able to 'read', catch up on my favorite podcasts and fit in some time for music to. Wish me luck (yes, this means my rib is healed enough to run)!

Luck seems to be on my side: I have entered one book giveaway this year so imagine my surprise to find out I won! Thank you Diane (Bibliophile of the Sea) for hosting the drawing and picking me! Secrets of Eden is a novel of shattered faith, intimate secrets, and the delicate nature of sacrifice.
Finished:
- The Summer we fell Apart: I'm a sucker for books filled with family dynamics at the center of the story. Have you read it? I listened to the author discussion with Book Club Girl the right after finishing the book. Books always seem to have so much more meaning after getting insight from the author. I gave this book 4 stars on goodreads but haven't posted my review yet but hope to have this one up this week.
What I'm reading and what's next:
- Alice I have been: This started slow but halfway through the book it's very enjoyable. I'm anxious to find out how this one ends.
- Men and Dogs: I made mistake of bringing this book to the gym to read a chapter as a sneak peak. Well... now I can't wait to read this book. The main character is troubled and flawed, I love that!
Awards: Better late than never! With the craziness that was February I kept forgetting to thank Lisa (Lit and Life) and Kristi (peetswea) for bestowing a few awards my way. I'm honored you thought of me! I will hand these out later but can't let this go by one more week without saying thanks.
What are you reading? Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Are you planning to see Alice in Wonderland 3D?
