CHECKpoint! Jan 17

I'm back!  We had a wonderful time in Paris but more on that in a separate post. :)

Let's just say I paused on fitness and enjoyed all that Paris had to offer last week.  Now that I'm back home and have recovered from the holiday's... it's time to focus on getting in the right distances or I will struggle on March 24th. 

Race day is 9 weeks away.
Consecutive days running: 18 (79 miles)

My Checkpoint! for the week:

Fitness challenges/goals:
- Get back to gym (3-5 times a week)
- Run EVERY day in 2012 (366 days)
- 100 consecutive pushups (prep for Tough Mudder)

Events:
- NJ Ultra March 24
- PA Tough Mudder May 12

Accountability:
- Last week: 30 miles last week with only a 6 mile long run (a 12 was on my calendar)... I did terrible on my training and need to make up for it this week.  I'm starting to feel unprepared so I need step it up.
- Stretching: It's a must these days but I can always do more.
- Nutrition: Within an hour of returning form vacation, I was at the grocery store picking up a few things to start recovering from my enjoyment in Paris.

This week:
- Pushup goal of 100: I need to continue working on my strength and will start lifting again
- Ultra training distances: 3, 4, 6, 8, 12
