It's Monday!

Washington Valley: Last week was a tough one, in a busy way. Work was insanely busy, we refinanced our home, I had a few doctor appts, the hot tub and elliptical were delivered, social engagements, travel, and more.

Good News: Have I mentioned my eyes have been bothering me? An eye doctor appointment Saturday confirmed my eyes are just fine, my prescription lowered two strengths - this explains why everything has been a little blurry!

Bad News: Most of you know I have been struggling with my running... I have been having terrible muscle/tendon issues with my left leg, forcing me to stop running.  I never once thought it might be more serious so imagine my surprise to hear 'you have a hip fracture'. I have another Dr appointment this week to understand the scope of the damage; I'm sure last months fall resulted in the stress fracture and a few pulled/torn tendons/muscles.  I will know more on Tuesday.

It's taken my a few days to process this news.  I had to withdraw from the Ultra but hope to be healthy in time for Tough Mudder.

Check back tomorrow to see how this new challenge will impact my fitness.

Let's Talk Books!

Literary Blog Hop Winner: Congratulations Jesse, winner of a $50 Amazon Card.  I'm also happy to say that I won a book from Shelleyrae's giveaway.  I'm can't wait to read The Underside of Joy, click here to read a review on Book'd Out.

Reviews: Just below this post you will find a review in tandem, for The Little Shadows.  I also reviewed The Dressmaker, loved this one. Lastly, I also wrote several this weekend, three more and I'm caught up!

What I'm reading (hosted by Book Journey): With last week being so busy, I didn't find any time to listen to The Night Circus. I'm half way through I've Got Your Number.

Synopsis: Poppy has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

I will keep plugging away... I do have a few must reads coming up:
The Second Time we Met (March Manic Mommies Book Club)
Lone Wolf (local book club)
Running the Rift (read-a-long)

What are you reading this week?
