It's Monday!

I have a week of home improvement planned.
I have secretly wanted new family room furniture since we moved eighteen months ago. This weekend I talked my husband into buying new furniture, woohoo!
We visited a few showrooms over the weekend, made our selection, and went home to research before buying. We found the sectional for almost a thousand dollars less online. When we called the store to see if they would match the price, they quickly said no. We purchased our furniture online. The chaise reclines, I can't wait for it to arrive... I'm giddy with excitement!
Projects: I started a painting project last August, using tinted primer paint to cover a deep red. The room looks done, but it's not. I want to paint a warmer tan on the walls. I plan to do this this week. I also picked up supplies to make the wrapping paper wall storage I found on Pinterest.
Let's Talk Books!
Reviewed last week: The World We Found (Umrigar), A Grown Up Kind of Pretty (Jackson), The Little Shadows (Endicott)
What I'm reading (hosted by Book Journey): I'm slowly making my way through The Night Circus but I think I have made it to the point that my interest is piqued.
I attempted to read Attachments - after struggling through the first half, I skimmed the second half of the book. Don't expect to see a review... it's not fair for me to review a book I didn't truly read. Many of you loved this one, what did I miss?
Synopsis: To Ella, happiness means living in northern California with her husband, Joe, and his two young children. Yet one summer day Joe breaks his own rule-never turn your back on the ocean-and a sleeper wave strikes him down, drowning not only the man but his many secrets.
For three years, Ella has been the only mother the kids have known and has believed that their biological mother, Paige, abandoned them. But when Paige shows up at the funeral, intent on reclaiming the children, Ella soon realizes there may be more to Paige and Joe's story. The custody fight between mother and stepmother urgently and powerfully collides with Ella's quest for truth.

Reading: I'm loving The Under side of Joy, it's an 'I don't want to put it down' kind of book.
